Project Manager
Position Summary
As a Project Manager, you will oversee data center projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards. You’ll coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients, manage schedules, budgets, and risks, and ensure safety and compliance. With up to 50% travel, you’ll lead projects to successful delivery while maintaining clear communication and stakeholder expectations.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects from pre-contract to completion, overseeing scope, schedules, budgets, and implementation plans.
- Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with contract requirements.
- Lead project teams, including subcontractors and vendors, fostering collaboration.
- Oversee project documentation, contracts, permits, and compliance with regulations.
- Track budgets, forecasts, and expenditures while managing change orders.
- Maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion and quality control.
- Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and escalate as needed.
- Serve as the primary client contact, providing updates and managing expectations.
- Ensure safety compliance and enforce industry standards.
- Travel up to 50% for site visits, kick – off, and closing meetings.
Essential Qualifications
- 3-year track record of having managed successful construction and/or data center specific projects.
- Experience with office software, including Word, Excel, and Monday
- The ability to create, update, and own a scope-delineated project schedule with preferable working knowledge of how to utilize Microsoft Projects or other similar project scheduling software.
- An understanding of the correlation between budget and progress within the context of a data center white space construction project
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be proficient in reading blueprints and construction plans.
- Must demonstrate proven success working with all levels of management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Track and manage all change orders and warranty requests for projects.
- The ability to produce project timelines through a written scope of work.
- Expert time management skills.
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Construction or Data Center build outs (Infrastructure, Low Voltage, or Electrical).
- PMP certification, or equivalent, is a plus.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
