APAC Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive G/L Accountant to join our team and support the accounting operations for multiple entities in the APAC region. The role will be based in the Philippines and operate during the day shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. General Ledger (GL) Accounting:
    • a. Manage GL for three small entities: PH, MY, and AU.
    • b. Ensure accurate financial reporting and timely month-end closings.
    • c. Liaise with tax agents for tax filings and compliance in the above.
  • 2. Accounts Payable (AP):
    • a. Handle AP responsibilities for two entities: JP and India.
    • b. Process and book supplier invoices, ensure timely payments, and maintain cash outflows.
    • c. Manage bank-related affairs, including reconciliations and payment processing.
  • 3. Tax Filings & Compliance:
    • a. Work on local tax filings for India (dependent on training with the tax agent).
    • b.Collaborate with tax agents for tax-related queries and compliance for GL and AP fields across the mentioned countries.
  • 4. Invoicing & Ariba System:
    • a. Upload daily Google invoices for APAC and NL entities into Ariba.
    • b. Ensure all invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • 5. Other Responsibilities:
    • a. Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for tax agents regarding GL and AP-related matters.
    • b. Assist in internal audits and provide financial data as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in finance and accounting, particularly in GL and AP processes.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations in the APAC region (PH, MY, AU, JP, IN) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in financial software (Ariba, SAP, etc.) and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Additional Requirements:

  • Day shift availability (local Philippines time).
  • Ability to interact with international teams and external tax agents
